Our Smart Locks

We supply McGrath, Lionhead and Lockton smart locks. Between the three brands there’s something for most homes, from a simple keypad on the front door through to a full digital lock with fingerprint and app access.

You can unlock with a code, a fingerprint, a card, your phone or a key. Most of them give you a few of those at once, so everyone in the house can use whichever one suits them.

Doors are all a bit different. Timber, aluminium, screen doors and sliders don’t take the same lock, so it’s worth checking before you buy something online.

We can also look at an existing smart lock that’s playing up, sort out batteries, codes or a lock that’s stopped connecting to the app.

SMART LOCK QUESTIONS?

Frequently Asked Smart Lock Questions

What happens if the battery goes flat?

The lock warns you well before it gets there. If you ignore it long enough and it does go flat, you can still get in with a key or jump-start it with a power bank, depending on the model.

Can I still use a normal key?

Most of ours have a key override. Some of the slimmer models don’t, so tell us if that matters to you and we’ll steer you to one that does.

Will it fit my door?

Usually yes, but not always. It comes down to the door thickness, the material and where the existing holes are. Send us a photo and we’ll tell you before you spend anything.

Can everyone have their own code?

Yes. You can set up separate codes for family, a cleaner or a tradie, and delete one without changing everyone else’s.

Can someone hack it?

It’s a fair question. In reality nearly every break in still comes through a kicked door or an open window. We only fit brands we know and we set them up properly, including changing the default master code.
